Honeybee Bilingual Children’s Center was established as a service to the community and is open to everyone who benefits from our program, regardless of race, gender, nationality, ethnicity and religion. The school accepts children from six weeks to five years old (or before kindergarten). Applications are accepted in person. Confirmation of registration is not final until the registration form and fee are submitted and processed. If you have any major educational, social, or developmental concerns about their child entering HBCC, please discuss these concerns with the director of the preschool before the child’s first day. It is important that a positive and appropriate learning environment be established for each child. Aa an effort to create the best fit for your child and family, HBCC reserves the right to place the children in groups by age, gender, and developmental levels. HBCC does not discriminate in administration of educational and admission policies.

Infants

0 to 24 months

MEAL PLAN: Snacks, lunch, and bottles must be provided and packed for infants by parents. Please note we are not allowed to serve food or provided milk as it goes against COVID-19 regulations. Each family is responsible to develop their child’s daily meals and bottles to ensure consistency between home and the center. We do not heat or cool lunches, so please use thermos for hot food. Please send the necessary utensils for your child’s lunch. Label all containers, utensils, and bottles. Food should be cut in bite size pieces. We are aware that your child may eat these items uncut at home, but licensing requires them to be cut at school.

REST TIME: Infants are provided the opportunity to rest and sleep as needed in our cozy infant care room. Rest time is from 1-3pm each day. Nap mats are provided for each child and sanitized daily. Please provide a sheet and blanket for your child. *Pillows are not allowed. Bring your child’s freshly laundered sheets and blanket at the beginning of their school week, and take it home at the end of their week.

Toddlers / Preschool

3 to 4 years

MEAL PLAN: HBCC offers nutritious hot breakfast each morning, two healthy snacks per day, and hot lunch. All meals are prepared on site using fresh, local, organic ingredients. Please note we are a nut cautious school, because peanuts and other tree nuts are relatively common allergens, we ask that you inform us of any allergies or food sensitivities your child has. If your child has dietary restrictions or severe allergies, we encourage you to provide lunch from home. Water and milk is provided throughout the day, juice is not allowed. Parents must provide a water bottle/ sippy cups/ or water dispenser everyday and must be taken home at the end of the day. Everything should be labelled with the child’s name.

Nap mats are provided for each child and sanitized daily. Please provide a sheet and blanket for your child. *Pillows are not allowed. Common questions

HBPC accepts cash, Zelle, Crystal Stairs, Connection for
Children for tuition payment.

We must receive a 30-day notice in writing if you will be
removing your child from our school. Otherwise the
Children’s Center will assume the student is in
attendance and payment is required
accordingly.

Each family will be required to pay a $300 re-enrollment/ materials fee
for each school year. Families who are in good standing, participatory,
current with tuition, and meeting all the criteria of our HBCC
community, will be offered re-enrollment.

At the beginning of the school year, children will bring 2-3 extra sets of clothes which they may change into when they become wet, muddy or have a toilet accident (we believe in a play based approach). These will be stored in their cubbies and refreshed by each child’s parents throughout the school year as necessary. *Please make sure all items are labeled with your child’s name. If necessary, children may bring a small plush transitional object (lovey) to school for use during nap time or other times when they need comfort. Please be sure that this object is small enough that it can fit in your child’s cubby, and be sure that it is brought home at the end of each day. While we will encourage them to keep their object in their cubby when not in use, HBCC cannot be held responsible for objects that become lost or damaged at school. Please do not send your child to school with toys.

Infants, we ask the parents to bring clean bottles, sippy cups and pacifiers labeled with your child’s name. These items will go home each day and must be returned the next for your child’s use. Please provide formula/breast milk, multiple changes of clothes, diapers, wipes, personal ointments and items necessary for the care of your infant. Please provide a freshly laundered sheet at the beginning of each week for your child. This sheet will need to go home at the end of your child’s school week to be laundered.
